Feb 27th-28th     Adventures in Acrylics.  Exploring ranges of new paints,materials  and accessories, trying out new textures, knife work and using unusual implements, discovering  exciting additives and styles.  Everything you need to know about  this amazing media. From basics and well beyond. Learning the rules and then breaking them!    A fun, challenging and informative course.

March 6th-7th.    Atmoshperic and Moody Watercolours.  Capturing the ellusive and magical weather and seasonal effects on our landscapes, including mists, storms, night scenes, and sunsets. Full guidance at every stage, with tips and tricks, at every stage,so you are able to paint a convincing dramatic painting. A real 'must' for painters that adore light, sparkle and a variety of etherial moody works.   A boost for your future work.

March 27th-28th.  Loosening up with Pen, Line and Wash.    A confidence building course, helping to loosen up, without loosing control. Help with creating flowing free watercolours, and assorted penwork that has more 'life' and less 'tightness'. Exercises in capturing the world around you, in various crosshatching and interweaving patterns and effects. We will explore impact and working at speed, using pens and inks and combining these with assorted washes.We will use buildings, seaside, landscapes, and figures as projects, plus the use  'Sketchbooks' will be discussed and explored.

April 10th-11th.  Visions of Venice...Escape to this magical gem for 2 days, exploring how to capture the variety of Venetian subject matter - bridges, buildings, water and reflections, the beautiful colours essential to enhance the scenery, boats ,steps, cafes, the weathered textural effects so marked along the canals, and of course the wonderful light effects. With demonstrations, tricks of the trade and tips, all helping to capture true feelings and depth of this amazing city. Watercolours and/or Acrylics .

May 29th-30th   Coastal Scenes, Cliffs and Curling Waves....Reviving treasured memories of delightful beach visits and  holidays.   Undulating cliff paths, rugged rocks, and entrancing rock pools, sandy beaches, sweeping sandunes, and curling splashing waves. We will be exploring these features in watercolours, texture pastes,  mixed media and collage (for those who would like to experiment to get unusual effects, but not essential). Suitable for all abilities. Let's have some fun and explore new ideas! A useful subject to have mastered!

June 26th - 27th. Garden Corners, flowers, and foliage, in Watercolours, and Mixed Media. Using Wendy's garden as inspiration, we will study how to capture those vital features, such as fountains, pots, greenhouse, and garden statutes.  There will be emphasis on the importance of everyday textures of grasses, rich array of assorted foliage, flower shapes and colours around you, and how to capture these in an achievable way. We will explore their individual beauty and how to add vibrancy to their colours, and then  place them successfully into an excellent compositions.

Sept. 18th - 19th.  Loose and Lively Watercolours. ....Go with the flow....How to free up without loosing control. Ideal course to simplify and learn techniques that give confidence, what to leave out, correct stance, understanding your  materials and what they do for you, achieving a sparkle, a glowing light, and a natural flow to your composition. Ideal for all abilities,      Demonstrations and guidance at every stage.
